Chocolate is so good to match with everything, and we bet you know a lot of healthy and sugar-free recipes involving chocolate.
But… have you ever tried chocolate with bacon?
We have, and we liked the particular taste, so we thought of sharing this recipe with you.
Ingredients:
- 10 slices of bacon stripes (suggest use high-quality bacon)
- Half bar Funky Fat Chocolate
- Sea salt flakes, as needed
Materials:
- One pan (or oven, or airfryer)
- 1 sheet of parchment paper
- Kitchen paper (to remove the excess oil)
Instructions:
- Cook your bacon, until the desired level of crispiness (read below the different ways to cook it)
- In the meantime, melt in a water bath your Funky Fat Choc Dark
- Dip the bacon stripes in the chocolate
- Let the chocolate solidify for about 20 minutes at room temperature
- Top up with sea salt flakes and enjoy your crispy Chocolate-dipped bacon
The bacon:
- Place the bacon in a non-stick frying pan. The bacon stripes can touch each other but they can not overlap.
- Fry for 10-12 mins on a medium-low heat, until golden and crispy.
- Remove the excess oil with kitchen paper before dipping it in the chocolate.
How to make crunchy bacon in the oven:
- Place the bacon in an oven tray, covered with parchment paper. The bacon stripes can touch each other but they can not overlap.
- Bake for 10-15 mins 180 C (350 F), until golden and crispy.
- Remove the excess oil with kitchen paper before dipping it in the chocolate.
How to make crunchy bacon in the airfyer:
- Place the bacon in the Air-fryer tray. The bacon stripes can touch each other but they can not overlap.
- Cook for 8-10 mins 160 C, until golden and crispy.
- Remove the excess oil with kitchen paper before dipping it in the
- chocolate.
Leave the bacon out of the fridge for about 10 minutes before you cook it. This way, it won’t burn while cooking.
Serve warm or store in an air-tight container for up to 3 days.
